Awesome Tattoo Paintings by New School Artist Jesse Smith

Jesse Smith is an American tattoo artist who gained notoriety for his bright, bold new school tattoo designs. With a history in graffiti art, Jesse Smith’s style approaches the realm of cartoon tattoos with a perspective that is uniquely his own. Smith is very aware of people around him and the behaviors and attitudes exhibited by society. Most of his tattoo designs express his opinions on these attitudes and behaviors, giving intangible beliefs and neuroses a visual form.

Smith’s art style would probably fall into the modern art genre of lowbrow. This is art that doesn’t conform to traditional fine art ideals and draws inspiration from modern street culture and subcultures. The following paintings and drawings prove that Jesse Smith is a talented artist on both living and inanimate canvases. (Some of these artworks are collaborations, please see Jesse Smith’s website for credits) See more tattoos and art on Jesse Smith’s facebook page and his website.
