Tattoo artist Jeremiah Barba begins his tattoo process by applying his tattoo stencil to his client’s skin. He then uses black and red inks to bring forth the demonic, deathly face from living flesh of his courageous client. This time-lapse video shows the entire tattoo process, as Barba adds black ink shading, white highlights and blood red ink to the design to add depth and shock value.
Dark Bio Surrealism
Barba has a dark, organic tattoo style that lends itself well to horror tattoos like this one. The artist calls his tattoo art style Dark Bio Surrealism. His style is reminiscent of the work of HR Giger, the artist behind the creature designs in the Aliens movie franchise.
Barba does interviews with tattoo artists on his YouTube podcast; Bloodlines Tattoo Podcast w/ Jeremiah Barba
